Long time no post!

Well I didn't really forget about this blog but I have been so busy updating our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/LadybugzLowriderz) and having 7 YES & dachshunds that I have neglected to post here.
Whats new since our last posting??? Hmmmm??
Well  Stormy and Devon's girls Pearlie Sue, Abigail and Willie Mae are all now just over 2 years old! Pearlie Sue is living about 15 miles from us with a good friend, Abigail is living in Ausin Texas with one of my husbands former co workers, and Willie Mae was our pick of the litter (more about her later).

When that litter was a week old I went to the Hill Country of Texas to Dachshund Dude Ranch to pick up the most beautiful Cream dapple long hair girl we named Lulu Belle. Her AKC registered name is Ladybug's Kahlua and Cream Franks MLCD.
Below are 2 pictures of Lulu Belle. One as a puppy and one recent as a beautiful adult!

Then in March 2012 Our lil Stud man Freddie became a father for the first time to a litter of 3 beautiful pups. Of that litter one stayed with the dam's owner who sold him, one went to my sister in law (a stunning tiny lil black and tan longhair named Lexi) and we brought home our lil man Ham aka Ladybug's Atilla the Ham Franks ML. He is an amazing Dark Chocolate guy who loves to fetch and talk his monkey boy talk. Here are 2 pictures of Ham. One as a young pup and a recent one.

We are planning a winter 2013/2014 litter with Ham and Lulu Belle. We expect all long hairs in black and cream, cream, and red in both solid and dapple.

That's almost Everything that's new.....except for the fact that Stormy Dew and Freddie welcomed an amazing litter of 7 puppies on July1st 2012. Stormy had to have an emergency C section and it was touch and go with 2 of the pups for about 2 weeks but they all survived with some bottle feeding and alot of work! They are all in their forever homes...from 3 in California to 1 Florida, to 1 Kentucky, to 2 in Texas! We are so proud of these beautiful pups! Stormy was spayed as the pups were going to their forever homes at 4 months old and is now enjoying just being spoiled!

Our other Big News is Willie Mae from Stormy Dew's first litter with the outside stud Devon from H2k Dachshunds will be bred to our Freddie this fall for our second winter litter!

Will update on both litters later!

Freddie

I feel like a bad mama! There's no mention of our boy Freddie here. Freddie is my sweet fuzzy man! He is floppy soft snuggly and full...and I do mean FULL of Life!
Freddie is grandsired by the very  well known "Stoneleigh' s Touch of Cream" who is an Import. He is also what  is refered to in some circles as a Mandy/O'Malley baby. He is simply the cutest dachshund I have ever seen. He is almost 7 months old. We look forward to a litter sired by him with Stormy Dew in 2012. The should have Black and tans, Chocolate Tans, Blue and Tans and Isabella and tans in both long and short hair.

June with the Lowriderz

Well June was a fun Month here with the Lowriderz. Our baby Stormy Dew started her very first heat the last few days of May and spent the better part of the month in one of the oh so fun stages of heat. Now that she is mostly done I would say our girl is all grown up now though we still see her cute puppy stages we are amazed at the things she has picked up. For example one day this past month while all lined up with Susie Pearl and our BIG dog Harley, Stormy Dew decided to bark for a treat when I asked Harley to speak. She now speaks on command for her treats. though I have to say she is a loose cannon. She likes to try to throw her voice when I ask Harley to speak....Silly Weenz!
We will be traveling to Southern California at the end of July to we are soon to be getting busy planning for the trip! Both of the girls will be riding in cabin with us on South West Airlines. Review of the experience will be posted post trip in this blog.
Below is a recent picture of the girls!

Wow what a busy month

We have had a busy May. Lots of romps in the sun filled yard and short road trips to visit friends. On the 15th Susie Pearl got very sick. She has coughed up a lil mucus then out of nowhere she started throwing up blood.  rushed her up to Texas A&M's vet hospital where she was admitted to their ICU unit. They found that she was having a severe case of pancreatitis. She was kept in the icu over night and came home the next day on a bland diet and 5 medications. She is doing much better but is not allowed any people food anymore. She seriously misses people food.

One other big happening is Stormy had her first heat. First noticed on the 26th of May (just 2 days ago) and she is now running around in one of 3 puppybunz diapers so she doesnt make a mess or get any boys interested.

Spoiled Girls

The girls got an awesome new surprise yesterday. At first I felt like it was a luxury item they didn't really need.
Then one day 2 weeks ago the girls (Susie Pearl and Stormy Sue) went for a ride down to visit their Aunt Kellie and Susie Pearl slipped off the leather backseat in my Escape and couldn't get back up on the seat. Thank goodness she didn't hurt her back. Now when the girls get to "go for a ride" they will ride safely all strapped in to their new pink lookout seat.

This picture so shows their personalities. Stormy all excited and very alert.....Susie laid back and not all that impressed just yet.
